Look at the Birds September retreat

Unusual weekend breaks when we follow the words of Jesus to look at the birds. Each weekend involves quiet Christian worship, reflection and guided birdwatching walks which are ideal for complete beginners and keen birdwatchers alike. Each has a theme examining a particular bird of the Bible and we focus on the raven on our September retreat.
Our time will be spent on and around Holy Island which hosts a wide variety of waders, duck and geese. Each programme will depend on bird news. In the autumn Holy Island can be truly spectacular for migration with large numbers of birds arriving from the European continent.
These weekends are designed both for Christians and for people sympathetic to the Christian faith who wish to learn more about birds in a place internationally famous for its birdlife and its Celtic Christian heritage. Holy Island itself boasts fabulous scenery that we shall explore and is rich in a spiritual history that includes St Cuthbert (the first Briton known to protect birds!)
