LOOK AT THE BIRDS retreat at AlnmouthDate: Fri, 28th Oct 2022 15:00 If you don't know Alnmouth, you are in for a treat! It's one of Northumberland's prettiest coastal villages at the mouth of a small estuary that is extremely good for birds. The end of October is a great time there for seeing an impressive selection of waders, sea duck and divers, as well as being a good location for autumn migrants like Brambling, Snow Bunting and Yellow-browed Warbler. Nearby are a range of excellent birding sites that include Warkworth beach, Hauxley nature reserve and East Chevington pools. It's likely that we will spend our second day visiting some of these 'hotspots', depending on the latest bird news. | |||
