If you don't know Alnmouth, you are in for a treat! It's one of Northumberland's prettiest coastal villages at the mouth of a small estuary that is extremely good for birds. The end of October is a great time there for seeing an impressive selection of waders, sea duck and divers, as well as being a good location for autumn migrants like Brambling, Snow Bunting and Yellow-browed Warbler. Nearby are a range of excellent birding sites that include Warkworth beach, Hauxley nature reserve and East Chevington pools. It's likely that we will spend our second day visiting some of these 'hotspots', depending on the latest bird news.
Our accommodation is a country house hotel in a superb location. It boasts great views of the North Sea as it is situated next to Alnmouth beach and the mouth of the Aln estuary. Nether Grange is owned by HF holidays and has a reputation for comfort and very good food.
The all-inclusive price is 525 pounds per person which includes 3 nights full board, accommodation and retreat fees. NB All our rooms will be ensuite and there is NO additional single room supplement.
