Unique weekend break that involves meditative Christian worship, enjoyable presentations and guided birdwatching with local experts. This unusual retreat is designed for Christians and people sympathetic to the Christian faith who wish to learn more about birds in a region internationally famous both for its birdlife and its Celtic Christian heritage.
Our time will be spent on and around Holy Island which hosts a wide variety of waders, duck and geese. In the spring our programme will depend on bird news and we may head to the mainland to look for arrivals like Ring Ouzel, Tree Pipit and Redstart.
Holy Island itself boasts fabulous scenery that we shall explore and is rich in a spiritual history that includes St Cuthbert (the first Briton known to protect birds)
The price is £225 per person based in a very comfortable Celtic Christian retreat centre on Holy Island itself. Covers TWO FULL DAYS OF GUIDED BIRDWATCHING WITH 2 NIGHTS FULL BOARD. Please note that this is a new provider for us and is offering a much higher standard of accommodation.
