Review of September 2023 retreat on Holy Island

Mark is not only a knowledgeable and experienced birder, but also a graceful and wise worship leader. He skilfully found bird after bird after bird for our group on Lindisfarne and then patiently helped us to watch them while telling us their stories. His regular pauses for worship during the days and evenings were very welcome and really lifted the retreat to a whole new level. His thoughtful Bible study sessions were well-planned and stimulated discussion, helping the group to bond. Going on retreat with Mark was a real treat, both from a birding and a faith perspective.
